I think all writers struggle with these same issues. And if we're writer-moms, it's twice as hard, since motherhood and writing are diametrically opposed professions. In my experience, it's hard to be very good at both -- all at the same time. Writing requires quiet, patience, a room of your own. Motherhood is loud, crazy, and all over the place ...

Good thing that's not my horoscope. I've sworn off performing to anyone's expectations, unless they're low expectations. Then I'm totally on board.
